Sure, we should do all we reasonably can to keep moving into alternative energy sources. A great example is the windfarm planned for Cape Cod.
In the meantime, North America has been blessed --- yes, blessed --- with an abundance of fossil fuels. We should keep fracking, exploiting new technologies to suck old wells dry, and build that pipeline. Our goal should be energy independence.
We don't know what global warming portends. Or if we can reverse it by giving up fossil fuels.
What we do know is that Islamic extremists want us out of the Middle East. And we ought to want to be out. Sure, keep bases in Israel and protect that nation from being overrun. But otherwise, let's leave this region to its own devices.
