My view: a more profound revolution in college teaching is required.  We need to be critically examining how much, when and where faculty work; whether tenure still makes sense; how best to utilize contingent, especially part-time, faculty, since they are a permanent part of the workforce; whether unions have a role to play and what that is... and more.  Tweaking the current paradigm is, quite simply, insufficient, even though some nice results may emerge.
