Recently, something very odd happened to that blog: the counter started running wild, the "hits" being attributed to two rather-obscure 2012 postings of no particular ongoing interest.
Meanwhile, my home institution switched to Google from Firefox for email. And, coincidentally, my AOL account of long duration got hacked, the contact list was stripped, and it stopped receiving inbound email.
So... if ever it was the right time for a change, this seems to be it.
